Get the right advice
Updated: March 26, 2020The Work Accident Advice Centre (WAAC) offers advice and support to people injured at work.
Personal injury law is distinct areas of specialism such as medical negligence, public liability and road traffic accidents (RTA). Each area has its own protocols and specific expertise will give your claim the best chance of success.
WAAC’s service puts you in touch with solicitors with a track record in winning work accident compensation claims.
The advice, support and confidence you need to move forward
A FREE phone consultation with WAAC gives you a clear understanding of your claim prospects and options.
Our impartial service is provided free of charge and we give you as much time as you need to answer any questions you have.
We never pressure you into choosing any course of action.
If you decide on the legal route
If you decide you want to make a No Win, No Fee work injury claim, we can introduce you to a solicitor with the most appropriate skill set and track record for your type of claim, including:
- Accident in the workplace
- Work-related illnesses such as RSI, HAVS and asbestosis
- Catastrophic injury
- Claims on behalf of workers who are employed, self-employed, on a zero-hours contract or a volunteer
No win, no fee
Your solicitor will work on a No Win, No Fee basis, so if your claim is ultimately not successful, you won’t have to pay any legal fees.
If you win your claim your solicitor will receive a success fee. The success fee will be agreed with your solicitor and can be up to 25% of your final compensation award. However, compensation awarded to claimants in the UK under a No Win, No Fee agreement is uplifted to partially offset the success fee.
